Hyundai India says all its shops can have wheelchair accessibility by February 2024.

Hyundai India has rolled out “Samarth – Progress for Humanity”, an inclusive mobility initiative specifically designed for folks with disabilities in India. The model has additionally partnered with two organisations, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled and GoSports Foundation.

Hyundai India says it’ll revamp its shops to make them extra inclusive, including that it goals to improve all its dealerships and workshops to be wheelchair-accessible by February 2024.

Hyundai additionally introduced that it’ll introduce swivel seats and different options to make its automotive and SUV line-up extra pleasant for the otherwise abled. 

Additionally, Hyundai and Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled will help differently-abled people with assistive gadgets and there may even be an all-new programme launched that may use blind cricket as a platform in pursuit of bodily and social growth of the visually impaired in India. There may even be particular camps for visually impaired cricketers in any respect ranges. Moreover, the programme may even organise a world bilateral collection for the nationwide blind cricket crew.

Hyundai India and GoSports Foundation may even collectively introduce an unique programme to offer help to para-athlete groups and people in India.

Un Soo Kim, MD and CEO of Hyundai India, stated: “We are pleased to announce the launch of the ‘Samarth’ initiative, which is a step towards creating a more aware and inclusive society towards differently abled in India. We aim to cultivate a more equitable and sensitised society for the differently abled and want them to see their true capabilities.”

As far as upcoming models go, Hyundai will introduce the heavily updated Creta in India next year along the the Creta EV. The Alcazar and the Tucson will also see mid-cycle refreshes next year.
