Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Saturday introduced that the federal government would improve the month-to-month wage and retirement advantages of anganwadi staff.


He mentioned the remuneration of anganwadi staff can be elevated to Rs 14,000 per 30 days for these with over 10 years of expertise and to Rs 12,500 for these with upto 10 years’ expertise and mini-anganwadi staff.

The chief minister added that the federal government would double the retirement advantages of anganwadi staff.


The quantity payable on retirement of Anganwadi staff might be elevated from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh and the Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh for helpers, he mentioned.


He mentioned 23,486 anganwadi staff, 489 mini-anganwadi staff and 21,732 anganwadi helpers are at the moment employed within the state.


The uniform allowance for all classes has been hiked from Rs 800 every year to Rs 1,500, he added.
